have a Z number plate which is in a destinctive red colour. This
tells all the locals that you are a tourist. In a way this works
to your advantage telling them that you are on holiday and not in
such a rush when traveling around.
On the other hand be aware of the driving habits of the locals who
can go to take over without much notice and then decide to slow
down straight away ! ..... don't ask, it's a cypriot thing !
Full third party insurance is provided with every car by law. However,
it is recommended that you take out further Collision Damage Waiver
(C.D.W) which will cost you in the region of £3 - £7
per day. Check the small print for the value of the excess and note
the parts of the car not covered by the insurance.
